Scientists have stated that serious behavioral problems later in life can be developed by babies who do not feed properly and cry excessively.
The research has stated that conditions like ADHD can be developed by one in five babies and these could be the symptoms. About 17,000 kids were looked at by review of earlier studies.
It has also been added that parents would not panic by these findings, according to a health expert.
It is normal to cry for babies but if they do so too much, especially after they turn three months, then it can be due to various other reasons than just being colic.
Problems related to sleeping and eating among kids was looked at by an international group of researchers apart from various other problems.
A link was established by experts when they compared the data from 22 studies from 1987 to 2006.
Risk of ADHD, depression and anxiety was seen among such kids later in life.
Professor Dieter Wolke, from the University of Warwick, said, “It is about a 100 per cent increase in risk, a doubling of risk of behavioral problems with excessive crying, sleeping and eating problems.”
