Breast Cancer Network Australia on the Way to Aware WomenWith a crew of around 285 member groups and over 55,000 individual members, the Breast Cancer Network Australia has been a constant source of support for women suffering from the breast cancer from past few years and reported a significant growth in size and strength.

The group has organized special training program aimed to spread awareness about breast cancer along with its impact on women and their families.

The CEO of BCNA and breast cancer survivor, Lyn Swinburne, said:”We are delighted to be building the capacity of so many strong women to provide support and raise awareness in their local communities and to act as community champions for breast cancer”.

The training was scheduled to emphasize on all major issues such as importance of engaging and associating local community, offering guidelines and assistance to the affected women and family members, counseling to live with breast cancer. Further, the group has also focused on the situation of breast cancer patients in rural areas.

The group has worked with great enthusiasm during the course of its 2 day training and expressed sincere thanks to the Federal Government for its significant financial support and efforts to understand needs of women diagnosed with the breast cancer.
