Gulf Film festival opened on ThursdayNow days, Dubai is in festive mood and celebrating the Gulf Film Festival which opened on Thursday. The Gulf Film Festival box office is open from 10.30 am to 10 pm daily at the Grand Cinemas Dubai Festival City.

A big list of Arab and international celebrities walked the red carpet like Gerard Courant, Abdulla AlKaabi, Cyrill Deleye, Sultan Al-Hussaini, Nayla Al Khaja, Thabit Al Mawaly.

Throughout the day, filmmakers keep meeting their peers, posing cheerfully for the camera. Shaikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also attended the occasion.

In the gala event, Barn Af Iraq (Children of Iraq), the film is directed by Ala’a Mohsen, who is also an actor in the film had made its world premiere as the opening film for the night.

Shivani Pandya Managing Director, Gulf Film Festival said that the event was held at Dubai’s intercontinental hotel and had received a great response on its opening day.

Further she said that cinema lovers across the globe have come to attend and experience the event. They attend the festival to acquire films which they can take back their homes, for television or for the purpose of distribution. This year, GFF will be holding premiers of 59 films.
