NYSE Euronext Abides to the Deal

The NYSE Euronext has confirmed that they will abide by the terms and conditions of the deal with the German exchange. As per the deal, they will reject the offer by the U.S. rival. Deutsche Boerse shares witnessed an increased by 1%.

NYSE Euronext's Board of Directors rejected the offer from Nasdaq OMX Group and Intercontinental Exchange on Sunday. This has been extremely positive news for the Deutsche Boerse as the merger would have left them internationally secluded.

Alcoa increased by 0.6% in the German trading. NYSE Euronext declined by 1% in the European trading. The decline was recorder after they confirmed the merger with Frankfurt-based Deutsche Boerse AG. The $9.67 billion merger was announced yesterday. QuikLogic Corp. gained back 10 % after reducing the first-quarter revenue estimate.

S&P 500 Index futures jumped to 1,325.3 at 10:32 a.m. in London. The increment was confirmed by 0.1%. The S&P 500 Index futures expire in June.  Today the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures increased 0.1% to 12,342. Nasdaq 100 increased 0.2 % to 2,323.5.

It is expected that eleven companies on the S&P 500 will declare the results this week. The companies like the JPMorgan Chase & Co., the Bank of America Corp. and the Google Inc. are included in these eleven companies.
