Pirates release MV Arrilah-1

MV Arrilah-1, the bulk carrier has been freed by the pirates who had hijacked it sometime back. The ship finally reached the shores of Mina Zayed.

Once the arrival took place, both the vessel and its crew were shifted under the protection of special operation unit. Besides that the ten pirates who have surrendered themselves were handed over to the Ministry of Interior and now a case is going to be done on their name.

It was with the combined effort of UAE's Anti-Terrorist Special Forces, supported by the Air Forces and Air Defence units, that the vessel was finally freed. The pirates are from the Arabian Sea which is situated in east of Oman.
The Anti-Terrorist unit was also helped by the US Fifth Fleet and once they boarded the vessel, the pirates surrendered themselves. While talking to media, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Daheri from the UAE Armed Forces said that the whole operation took a total of 30 hours.

But the good thing is that in the end of the day there were no calamities. And it happened since the whole thing happened in a very professional manner.
