As per the media reports, two new business heads have been appointed by Cisco in the Middle East region. While Tarek Ghoul will now act as general manager of Cisco's Gulf operations, which encapsulates the Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar markets; Wayne Hull will now be the incharge of the vendor's UAE business, as the director and general manager for the UAE.
Meanwhile, the former general manager for Cisco's Gulf region, Samer Alkharrat, has moved to acquire the post of senior director of the Emerging Markets Public Sector.
"The UAE represents a key global priority and growth opportunity and Hull, who joined the networking giant in 2004, brings more than 11 years of experience in the Middle East networking community to the role. He will report to Duncan Mitchell, senior vice president for Cisco's Emerging Markets East division, based in Dubai. Prior to this appointment Hull lead Cisco's operations in Qatar and Oman," specified Cisco.
Ghoul joined Cisco in the Middle East five years ago, during which, he held dual roles - both in country general management, as well as within the channel organization. The appointments might further line up Cisco's business operations with market dynamics, thereby bolstering its channel operations to better serve the customers.
