Future heart attack risk can be identified with a blood test

heart attackIt will be easier to figure out the risk of a future heart attack with an improved blood testing method, reports state.

There is a protein that leaks out of damaged heart cells into the stream of blood and this can be measured by this sensitive testing method, research part-funded by the British Heart Foundation, BHF, has stated.

There is also a benefit of this test among people who have had a heart attack before and who are at a risk of dying due to a second heart attack as the test can even figure this out.

Professor Peter Weissberg, medical director at the BHF, said, “This promising study shows us that by using a more sensitive test for heart muscle damage than is currently being used, more patients who come to hospital with chest pain are identified as having suffered a small heart attack.”

There is a very high possibility of people having a major heart attack in life those who have had a minor heart damage and experience pain often. If these symptoms are seen by someone then they should contact their doctor immediately.
