As part of the international coalition's operation, the Qatar started the Arab world's first combat missions over Libya where people raised swords of revolt against the autocratic regime of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. The move is aimed to propel the country toward democratic elections in line with the public sentiments.
The French military said on its website, "The air mission is the first by an Arab League country as part of multinational operations in Libya."
US-led operation over Libya is also getting support of many nations and more NATO members may join the war against Gaddafi very soon. A Libyan government delegation also met African leaders asking for constructive discussion for the interest of Libyan people. The members of delegation said that breach of ceasefire is a result of extremists and foreign intervention.
Meanwhile, air strike by Western powers claimed lives of civilians, including women in the capital Tripoli. Voices of dissent have started to surface from various nations who said that Western powers had exceeded the U.N. mandate as the air strikes are claiming lives of innocent people.
