Qatar Airways to hire more staff

Qatar AirwaysQatar Airways, having around 19000 employees already working with it, has said that it will recruit more staff members in the next three years given to rising workload along with geographical expansion of the airline.

The carrier would need an additional 3,500 staff annually according to the preliminary estimates by the airline. Staff strength would increase by more than 50 per cent by the end of 2014.

The airline started operations at new routes that fueled staff demand. More new routes would be added in the coming period in line with the expansion plans of the carrier.

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said, "Having expanded at a significant pace over the past 14 years, we are continuing the ambitious growth strategy with vigour and, with it, present tremendous amount of job opportunities."
The carrier recently launched its 100th destination - to the northern Syrian city of Aleppo. It has already started flights to (formerly known as Calcutta), the Bulgarian capital Sofia (September 14) and Norway's capital city of Oslo
(October 5).
