The Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is all set to market its famciclovir tablets 125mg, 250mg and 500mg for the treatment of recurrent mucocutaneous herpes simplex infections in HIV-infected patients and suppression of recurrent genital herpes in immunocompetent patients.

If statistics of IMS Health data are to be believed, the total US sales for the Famvir and its generics for the month ending 2010 is slated at $197 million.
