Sudden Spike in Sexual Activity Boost Risk of Heart Attack

Sudden Spike in Sexual Activity Boost Risk of Heart AttackA team of researcher has claimed that one-night stand can boost the risk of heart attack by three times as compared to those who don’t indulge in sex at all.

If statistics are to be believed, heart disease is among the most lethal diseases of all in UK and is reported to take almost 91,000 deaths in one year.

For the study, the team of researchers from the Tufts Medical Centre and Harvard School of Public Health probed 14 studies of heart attacks. The thorough review claimed that people who indulge in occasional sex are more likely to get struck by heart strokes.

However, the researchers claimed that people who are physically and sexually active are somewhat at lower risk of falling to heart diseases like heart strokes and sudden cardiac arrest (SCD).

The study claimed that a significant 45% decrease in risk of heart attack was observed in people who indulge in regular exercise and practice sex regularly.

Though there is substantial proof that any sudden rise of physical activity along with excessive mental stress can add to the risk of heart attack and cardiac arrest, the aforementioned study has revealed another facet of heart risk.
