Police rescue officers had to pull around dozens of swimmers from the sea yesterday. The police rescue officers had to do so as these swimmers had disobeyed the warnings of strong winds and currents. They had ignored the security warnings and went for a swim, risking their lives. So the police had to interfere in this to stop them from breaching the rule.
Nine incidents have occurred at Umm Suqeim 1 Beach on that day. This beach is near the Burj Al Arab.
As per the Police, after rescuing these people from sea, it had found that none of those injured appeared to have life-threatening injuries. However, they are admitted in the Hospitals later but the Hospital authorities were unable to provide any report on the condition of the victims.
Around 1.30PM one of the injured swimmers was rescued at Umm Suqeim 1 Beach by the police. He was believed to be from South Asia. He was then taken to Rashid Hospital.
