Rupert Murdoch’s iPad newspaper ‘The Daily’ is all set to be launched in UK. It is expected that it will come in the first half of this year, according to the reports from the Abu Dhabi Media Summit.

During a board meeting Jonathan Miller, chief digital officer at News Corporation has stated that the timing of the launch is uncertain. It depends on the level of Apple’s new subscription model and when that reaches the UK.

Miller has said that ‘The Daily’ would arrive in Western Europe very soon. It would not take much time from now. Possibly it will come during the middle of the year. The users can get it through iTunes.

Moreover, he has added that the coming week will be very auspicious for the newspaper. This newspaper was launched at the beginning of February. And now it will add the price in it.

Currently it is available in the US on a free trial basis. But very soon the users have to pay for it if they want it. This is because News Corp is planning to charge 99 cents (61p) a week of $39.99 (£24.70). This will be charged for a yearly subscription.
