Yorkshire Region to Suffer £250 Million Cutbacks

YorkshireHealth services in Yorkshire will suffer a lot in the time to come as the local NHS trust will have to bear the burden of increased efficiency savings this year. Hundreds of people are expected to lose their jobs I the time to come, with a number of bed being closed by managers to improve efficiency levels.

The Yorkshire Post has reported that the NHS trust in Yorkshire will suffer a shortfall in spending of £250 million. Meanwhile, the situation in Leeds will be quite bad as managers will have to make savings of about £60 million in the coming year.

The new changes will result in the NHS being left out with 700 fewer people to provide services by the month of October this year. The situation will be quite grim in Hull as well; officials will have to try and make savings of £25 million across medical facilities in the city and might have to sack about 300 people.

The NHS will try to save another £19 million at the NHS Doncaster and Bassetlaw trust, while the trusts in York and Chesterfield will suffer efficiency savings of £14 million and £6 million respectively.

Pressure has continued to mount on David Cameron as the Labour leader Ed Miliband recently said that the NHS reforms were going to shake healthcare in England by its very foundation.
