Blood pressure reduced by education

Blood pressure reduced by educationResearchers in the US have stated that blood pressure among people is benefited due to education and that too for a long term and this despite exam stress.

There are various diseases that take place due to high blood pressure like kidney failure, strokes, hypertension, and heart attacks.

It was also stated that in women the link is established more strongly.

According to the British Heart Foundation, between heart disease and deprivation, a link was supported by the finding.

It was seen that lower levels of heart disease were seen among people who had higher levels of education and this might be due to the blood pressure.

About 3,890 people were assessed for about 30 years and they were divided in low, middle and higher education groups.

Later, for the 30-year period the average systolic blood pressure was calculated.

A blood pressure of 3.26 mmHg higher than women who had high level of education was seen among women with low education and 2.26mmHg was the difference in men.

Professor Eric Loucks, who conducted the study at Brown University, said, “Women with less education are more likely to be experiencing depression, they are more likely to be single parents, more likely to be living in impoverished areas and more likely to be living below the poverty line.”
