Health magazine launched by SPH

Wellness-No1Now, a magazine will have all the information on Eastern and Western medicine.

The Chinese Newspaper Division or the CND of Singapore Press Holding, SPH, is behind producing the magazine called Wellness No. 1 which is in English.

The articles will be covering wellness and health issues and about 50 doctors, health experts and tradition Chinese medicine physicians will be talked to for concluding various things.

Once you open the magazine, you will find healthy recipes, how to eat well and how to keep various conditions at bay.

Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan at the Paragon Atrium had launched the magazine recently.

The magazine can be picked up from news-stands and leading book stores at a cost price of $8 and will be taken out annually.

The move to make a combination of modern and traditional medicines available for readers was appreciated by Associate Professor Eillyne Seow, who heads the emergency medicine department at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

She said, “It shows where the East meets the West, and the understanding of this will continue to change as knowledge of both medicines builds up.”
