On Thursday, Berlin International Film Festival has been set off. It was the 61st anniversary of the festival. Many attendees were present in this festival. Four UAE-based filmmakers were also present in the occasion. They have been taken by the Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC).
Their main aim is to enable the filmmakers to meet the leading players of the European film industry. Moreover this could help to have new business and film production opportunities.
The four filmmakers are none other than Eva Star Sayre, the business director of Veritas Films; second one is a trio-the actor, director and producer Nawaf Al Janahi; Amina Dasmal, the producer and founder of
Alcove Entertainment; and Butheina Hamed Kazim, a business development manager at Dubai Media Incorporated. These four producers arrived at this event with their upcoming projects which are now at different stages of development.
On other hand, the ADFC has partnered with the European Producers Club to provide the delegates a four day trip to Berlin. They will attend a series of special events, workshops and networking prospects with international producers and filmmakers over there.
