Wafaa Bilal, a distinguished professor of New York University, has finally do away with the tiny camera he had inserted in to the back of his head adding that the temporary step has been taken in a bid to avoid any possible infection to his body. However, he is not going to stop here and would again wear the cam around his neck up to the completion of his project.
The Iraqi-born artist, who teaches at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, underwent surgery last month as he was not comfortable with the cam into his head. He is optimistic of implanting camera again in to his head to do his unfinished project.
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports, "Under its initial configuration, the camera was mounted on three posts. Each led to a titanium base that was implanted between Mr. Bilal's skin and skull. The procedure was done by a body-modification artist at a tattoo shop in Los Angeles. But the setup caused constant pain, because his body rejected one of the posts."
