Qatar Airways to expand Singapore service

Qatar-AirwaysEnthused over significant rise in number of customers, the Qatar Airways is mulling to increase services on its popular Singapore route. The move is aimed to offer uninterrupted and hassle free services to the travelers across both destinations. The airline, currently offering daily flights from Doha to Singapore using its flagship Boeing 777 aircraft, will add non-stop services between Doha and Singapore from May 1, 2011.

Qatar Airways chief executive officer, Akbar Al Baker added, "Singapore has been one of our best-performing routes in the entire region for a long time, with load factors consistently in the high 90s."

The airline will currently add three weekly flights in the schedule while another three fights would be introduced from October 1. Flight frequency to Singapore will be hiked to twice a day subsequently. Further, the Qatar Airways has also announced to increase flights to Kuala Lumpur route to twice daily in a phased manner starting from March 1, 2011.

The Doha-based carrier will make some important announcements during its winter program by implementing several network improvements across various international routes.
