Slowly declining prices of yellow metal and rise in tourists has pushed gold sale in Dubai during the Dubai Shopping Festival. Gold and jewellery sales raised as much as 25-30 per cent according to the local gold dealers of Dubai. The DSF gold promotion lured a large number of customers as they made beeline for taking huge advantage of various offers and draws.
Atlas Jewellery made robust entry at the initial days of DSF reporting record sale of gold. Srikanth Ramachandran, owner of the group said that the event did wonders for them making their raffle boxes to fill up to brim in addition to indicating that Dubai is again on recovery path and will soon achieve its past growth glories.
Ajay Mitra, World Gold Council's Managing Director for Middle East and Turkey added that Dubai Shopping Festival proved as a boon both for investors and retailers.
Tourists have shown a great deal of interest in both the 22 karat and 18 karat segments. 'Bag of Fortune' campaign lured both residents and tourists as nobody wished to skip the chance of win gold on offer.
