Mental health services’ survey

Mental health services’ surveyUsers of the mental health service are being questioned about what is their opinion about the care.

The feedback is being taken so that it can be used by the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust or AWP to make improvements in the care quality.

The independent survey provider known as Quality Health had sent questionnaires to about 5,000 service users who were last year attended to by the trust between July 1 and September 30.

The questionnaire was about various aspects that revolved around their care like the quality and information of treatment and care and communication they had with social and health care workers.

It was stated by Hazel Watson, Director of Nursing, Compliance Assurance and Standards, "We hope that our service users will take the time to tell us how they think we are doing, so that we can continue to improve the quality of the mental health services we provide."

Another information that has come to light is that a new woman has been appointed to a new trust as the chief executive and she will be responsible for running mental health and community services and was working for Wyre Forest Primary Care Trust.

Sarah Dugan will take over the responsibility of the new chief executive as NHS Worcestershire announced.
