A pre-natal outreach campaign is going to be conducted in the city. This initiative will be first of its kind in the capital city. The main aim of this campaign is to help and educate married women in Abu Dhabi about how to prepare for a pregnancy.
In this campaign, they will be provided a free, three-month supply of pre-natal vitamins. Public Health and Communications at Corniche Hospital is organizing this event in the city.
Amira Wali who is the director of Public Health and Communications at Corniche Hospital has informed Gulf News that, on 28th of February, the first pre-natal outreach session will be held. The event will be held at the Women's Health Centre.
It will be held once in every month from then onwards. She has also added that the program will be carried out every month till the end of the year. At the initial stage, 20 couples would be included in this program.
Wali has also told on the sidelines of the Bride Show Abu Dhabi that she is even ready to start with 100 women if they are interested to sign up and attend the pre-pregnancy outreach programme.
