In a major shock to a well coordinated effort of international teams of three countries to smuggle opium, the customs department of Dubai has managed to seize it. In total 9 kgs of the drug was taken into custody.

One of the senior Dubai Customs official said that all the shipment was caught from Cargo Village. The amount was hidden in kid’s toys and was going to be sent to Asia. Informed Omar Ahmed al Mehairi, Senior Manager of Dubai Customs air cargo operations that the cargo was being sent to three different countries and that Dubai was the route that they were following.

While two of the shipments were supposed to be sent to an Asian country, Western countries were also being targeted. All the drugs were seized in three different operations.

The officer further added that when a team of inspectors found something suspicious about the parcels in which the toys were taken, a search operation was done. In it the machine showed abnormal density that lead to the finding of drugs. X-rays and other means were used too.
