Mohammed Taquir did a fantastic all-round performance, but could not help lose against UAE. The UAE got a marginal victory by 11 runs to reach the finals of the second Gulf Cup Twenty20 tournament. This cricket tournament was organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at the Sharjah Stadium.

Now the UAE Nationals will meet the Omani team again in the final at Sharjah stadium on Sunday. The match will start at 7:30p. m.

In another cricketing action, Saudi Arabia cricket league won with the help on an entertaining half-century by Nadeem Al Nadwi to beat Kuwait Nationals Cricket Club by 18 runs.

The Saudi Arabia Cricket team retained their dominance over Kuwait Nationals. After batting first, they posted 212 runs. The Kuwait team in their second innings were restricted at 131 runs. Their top scorer produced a knock of 51 runs. The Kuwait team could not hold the game after he was out.

On the opening day of this tournament, the Omani team won against Kuwait Nationals by 156 runs.
