A 39-year-old woman and a mother expired after she went to a hospital in an inebriated state but before being attended to, waited for five hours to be treated at a hospital A&E unit ‘full of drunks’.
On 13 December, Laura Martin was suffering from vomiting and severe head pains and following this she was taken to the Queen's Hospital in Romford.
Laura was seen by a doctor only after her condition subsided but hours after her condition went worse and died. The case is being investigated according to the east London hospital.
In a similar case, it was stated by Martin, of Rush Green, Essex, in the early hours his wife was taken to the hospital because she was not well.
It was stated that due to more people coming in sizzled, the waiting room had been overrun with people.
He added that they were calling out names of people who were waiting but there was not much response because people had already left after waiting.
Martin’s wife was waiting for over five hours and she as sent home after being given a painkiller.
But she had to be brought back to the hospital because her condition worsened.
