The latest album of Jane's Addiction is going to be an apparent inspiration by Muse and Radiohead. According to frontman Perry Farrell, the group's fans are going to be shocked by the difference in their upcoming record sounds as compared to the band's heavily rock 'n' roll guitar-led previous albums.
He has said that their new album is going to be a weird mixture of the post-punk darkness that the group used to have along with the current in thing that is going on with groups such as Muse and Radiohead.
He further said that even though he wanted to appease the fans as much as possible and make the old fans of Jane love him, he could not help himself from moving on.
The band had earlier broken up back in 1991. However, after that they have got back together several times, and ultimately reunited for good as recent as 2008.
However, they separated ways with their original bassist Eric Avery next year in 2009, and shortly did work with the ex Guns 'N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, after which they settled on working with TV On The Radio producer and guitarist Dave Sitek.
