The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has signed a deal with an industrial services company for large supply of liquid gas cylinders that comply with SEDD standards in order to meet market demand.

Under the arrangement, Haifa Industrial will provide SEDD with 7,086 48-litre liquid gas cylinders with an overall value of AED 900,000.

All gas cylinders are scheduled to be delivered before the end of 2009.

In addition, SEDD urges its customers to demand purchase invoices when buying gas cylinders from different providers, and to take down the seller information, including the name of the seller, cylinder size and price, date of purchase and manufacturer's logo.

Further the company revealed that failing to get this information may lead the SEDD to disregard consumer complaints because of a lack of information.
