Iran has been attempting to provoke a fresh conflict in the Middle East to remove the focus from its nuclear programme, as told by the US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in Abu Dhabi last Monday.
She has told the Arab world to shun away such tries, increase their enforcement of sanctions, and support the Israeli-Palestinian peace discussions.
Clinton has visited the UAE for the purpose of a three-nation tour. The other two nations included in the tour are Oman and Qatar.
Hillary Clinton has made such remarks while on a pan-Arab television talk show called Kalam Nawaem at the Zayed University campus in Abu Dhabi. The program will be shown on the MBC 1 channel.
Clinton has added that the sanctions made against Iran are being successful since Iran was suffering from some technological problems, which have reduced the pace of its progress towards building nuclear weapons.
Meanwhile she has also warned that the world should maintain the pressure on Iran or else face a devastating arms race in the area in case Tehran comes up with a nuclear weapon.
