Recently a research was conducted by Israeli researchers and it has been found that when women cry, their tears release a compound signal that puts a curb on men's sexual excitement.
The scientists at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel had carried out this study by asking women to watch emotional scenes. Women were shown a heart- wrenching 1979 US movie, The Champ in which a young boy sobs over the death of his boxer dad.
After watching this scene, women wept and the researchers collected the women's tears in vials and these were given to 24 men, of age 23 to 32, who were unknown about this.
Out of them some had sniffed control vials that contained neutral saline solution and others inhaled vials which contained women's tears. These had no obvious smell as well.
After this men were shown the images of women's faces. It was found that men who had smelled the tears of women, their images were less beautiful than the men who had sniffed saline solution. After the study, the researchers have now drawn the conclusion that tears are one of the major turn off for the guys.
