Services at the Etihad Airlines from Abu Dhabi International Airport got disrupted on Sunday due to some heavy fog. The passengers faced huge problems due to delay in their flights. 48 scheduled trips got delayed and only two flights got diverted to Al-Ain airport.

Almost all other fights got cancelled. This has been published in the semi official daily Al Ittihad on its Monday edition. It has also informed that around 42 outbound flights got delayed for not less than one hour on that day. Around six incoming flights arrived in the airport far behind their scheduled time.

As per sources, the visibility was very poor due to heavy fog in Abu Dhabi. The ground visibility was even less than 100 metres in the early hours of the morning. So it had made very difficult for the pilots to take off the flights on time.

The Abu Dhabi airport source has also informed that the services on Monday morning were also affected due to the dense fog.
