Co-ordination between two Dubai courts

Dubai-courtsA last co-ordination meeting was organized by the Joint Committee of Dubai Courts and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts recently. It was done for reviewing the functions of the committee and also for its aims and objectives and the results achieved so far since the inception of the committee back in 2008.

The meeting took place at the Dubai Courts and reviewed the results achieved by the committee since its establishment in 2008, including the signing of the protocol on enforcement regarding the enforcement of judgments, orders and resolutions made a year later in 2009 by the two courts.

The meetings even reviewed the signing of general memorandum of understanding (MoU), which concentrates mainly on the communication of experiences and information at the technical and administrative stages. Apart from that, a MoU was also signed regarding the notary public during the same year.

Apart from all these, the other achievements that came into focus were holding of five introducing lectures on the Dubai judicial system by the DIFC Courts along with the Dubai Judicial Institute. Also a training program was organized for Small Claims Tribunal Judge, Shamlan Al Sawalhi at the Enforcement Division in Dubai Courts last year.
