Saudi Arabia's King Abdul Aziz University for Science and Technology (KAUST) has revealed that it has inked an agreement with US-based Mentor Graphics.
The pact has been signed with the aim to jointly promote and develop electronics design technology in the kingdom.
As per terms of the agreement, the Advanced Microelectronics Technology Centre will be set up at KAUST.
The sources informed that the centre will provide three programs that will contribute to the Saudi National Strategic Plan; Advanced Technology Program; Professional Training Program; and the Incubation Support Program.
The sources further informed that mentor will offer comprehensive design automation software as well as consulting and training services.
