UAE telecom giant, Etisalat has signed MOU to have a tie up with a globally recognized consortium to run 13,000km long extended fibre optic cable which will pass via India ME and Europe. IMEWE stands for India, Middle East, Egypt and Europe.
This joined consortium will launch highly energy efficient cable coils which must have the capacity of transferring 3.84 terabits of data per second. It will upgrade the whole telecommunication system in ME.
People living in different parts of ME, India and Europe will be able to send messages and data at high speed. This gigantic consortium consists nine telecom companies. There are other well recognized companies like Bharti Airtel, OGERO and Pakistan Telecommunication.
These companies have chalked out plans to develop the whole IT sectors. There will be more overseas job opportunities and people will be extensively benefited to communicate with the rest of the world with much comfort.
A team of experts have already met top brass and high officials of the IMEWE consortium and place their personal opinions and views in this regard. However, till now the UAE government has not made it clear about the inauguration ceremony of activating new telecommunication system around the world.
