Expired Visa biggest obstacle in UAE

Expired Visa biggest obstacle in UAENicholas Moody, an ex-resident of Susanville who lived for over a couple of months inside Al Wathba prison and ultimately bore charges of having carried contraband in the Abu Dhabi airport in the UAE when he was returning the United States dismissed on Monday, the 13th of December. He continues to be stranded in the UAE.

An update says that his mother, also living in Susanville, Lorina Moody, sent an e-mail to the newspaper on 20th December that Moody continued to be stranded in the UAE since he did not possess a valid visa.

Lorina wrote that her son's visa became invalid at the time of his incarceration, and he couldn't get back his passport till his visa got cleared.

She wrote that it was not legal to stay in the UAE not having a valid visa, thus the prison paperwork must be signed off that makes the reason about his visa's expiry valid, following which the release of his passport will be possible.

With a desk to the other, important measures with unknown timelines, apparently an expired visa seems to be the biggest obstacle at present.
