Data has shown that Abu Dhabi got the highest number of tourists in the UAE region. It saw an increase of 27 per cent in the number of visitors as compared to the previous month.

But this is not the phenomenon that was seen in Abu Dhabi alone, the whole of UAE region has seen a rise. Most of the increase can be attributed to the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix along with a long series of world class rock concerts that are taking place.

Meanwhile, the number of hotel visitors in Dubai has gone up by 6 per cent during the first nine months to be at 5.9 million.

During the same period last year, the number was at 5.6 million, said the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Results released by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) showed the number of hotel guests going up by 27 per cent to be at 169,001 visitors. A surge of 42 per cent was seen in guest nights to be at 544,753.

Looking at the data, November turned out to be the best month this year after February.
