India in list leading exporters for UAE free zones

india-exporters-UAEIndia has been placed in the list of the leading exporters to UAE free zones last year with a net export value of USD 30 billion (110.4 billion dirhams), which is a 66% of the gross value of the imports of the nation.

The leading exporters were China, India, US, Japan, UK, South Korea, Germany, France, Malaysia, and Hungary respectively.

In the departments of imports and re-exports, the leading countries were Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan , Egypt, Hong Kong , and Belgium respectively with a net worth of USD 20.2 billion (74.2 billion dirhams), making up 62% of the net UAE export and re-exports, according to the stats released by the UAE's Federal Customs Authority (FCA).

Last year, the net trade volume in UAE free zones came up to USD 78 billion (286.6 billion dirhams), out of which imports made up USD 45.7 billion (167.897 billion dirhams), and exports and re-exports came to USD 32.3 billion (118.7 billion dirhams).

The FCA made a declaration today that last year’s gross trade volume of free zones according to weight came up to approximately 23.1 million tons, 15.2 million tons being imports and 7.9 million tons exports and re-exports.
