UAE has urged from the international community that they should compel Israel to remove blockage for the Gaza strip. The statement was made by the country during the UN General Assembly.

Besides this, UAE also pledged that it will support the people of the trapped region in whichever way it is possible.

The state media came out with the government statement that said, "The Humanitarian conditions in the occupied Palestinian Territories, especially in the Gaza Strip, continue to deteriorate because of the siege imposed on the Strip by the Israeli occupying forces for the last three years."

It also said that the international community should put pressure on Isreal to remove the blockage and help in immediately facilitating the delivery of human assistance where it is needed. The Arab land should be made free so that peace initiatives can be brought forward.

One must remember that UAE is one of the major contributors in peace keeping projects in Palestine. Every year they contribute close to $262.7 million to the Palestinian Authorities for their management.

Peace initiatives in the region have been going in for centuries.
