Today Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies disclosed the details regarding for the world's first GE and Engine Alliance network partner renovate Shop and Test Cell Facility for the GEnx and GP7200 models. This is located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Propose of the new $150mn facility is in progress with ground breaking designed for Q1 2011. It is possible that the test cell and shop will be all set by Q1 2013 and this will support the increasing convoy of GE engines in the MENA region.
The GE and Mubadala agreement which was signed in year 2009, GE has been following ADAT in the design and building of this facility is to assemble the industry's global regulations by providing the needed skill during the development phase.
Moreover the GEnx and GP7200, the provision will also overhaul the GE90 engines.
Mubadala Aerospace is the owner of the ADAT and forms an input part of plans to launch Abu Dhabi the same as an incorporated global aerospace hub.
Mubadala has created partnerships with the world's leading aerospace companies so as to increase the production in Abu Dhabi.
