On Monday British actor Colin Firth was pleased with the reputed Variety `International Star of the Year' Award. This was held at the Dubai International Film Festival. Previously he has been nominated for OSCAR award.

Colin was awarded by the popular actress Carey Mulligan. He is the star of the opportunity film of the seventh Dubai International Film Festival `The King's Speech'.

This was sponsored by the film and entertainment industry's trade magazine, Variety. The prize honors was original cinematic talent in favor of their contribution to the film business.
