A fresh and new batch of graduates is soon going to come out from the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. And when they do it will be looked as the talent pool that the institute has been able to develop.
And it is hoping that they are able to serve the purpose of the local companies who are expected to take the first scoop of talent.
This is going to happen at the first Career Day of the institute that has seen participation from 22 companies. The list includes big names like GE, ExxonMobil, Etihad Airways besides others.
Masdar only provides for graduate program and was started as part of the government initiative to shift to a more sustainable knowledge-based economy rather than being just oil driven one. They are also targeting to make Abu Dhabi an alternative energy hub in the world.
Said Fred Moavenzadeh, the president of the institute that students are brand ambassadors and their development means human capital development. If they are hired by firms then that shows that quality of labor in the country has gone up.
