The new members of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council have been elected and they were sworn in on Monday. The sworn in was done by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at his palace placed in Rawada in Al Ain.
During the occasion, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, were also present.
During the whole process, Shaikh Khalifa asked the council to increase their efforts while servicing the nation. This is needed if continuation of the march towards development and prosperity of the region and the nation has to be done.
He congratulated the new governing council for getting the post and asked them to do their roles and duties properly. The UAE president and the ruler of the nation has issued two decrees for the purpose of restructuring the executive council.
After the new body was formed, five members of the Ruling family was taken back from their positions.
This is one of the biggest reshuffle that the governing council has seen.
