An AED200m ($54.4m) contract was won Monday by Abu Dhabi subsidiary and joint venture partner of Interior contractor, Depa, in order to complete the fit-out for the Ferrari World theme park on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

A statement issued on Monday by Depa, which is overseeing the fit-out for the world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai, said: "Work on the Ferrai World Abu Dhabi, the world's largest indoor theme park, scheduled to open in 2010, would include flooring, walls doors and ceilings."

The statement continued that Depa was appointed by Aldar BeSixa, and it has been given a completion date of March 31 2010.

It should be noted that Mivan Depa, whose previous projects include The Atlantis Hotel and Museum of Islamic Arts in Doha, is Depa's joint venture partner.

Twenty rides and attractions including the world's fastest rollercoaster and a racetrack would be featured in the theme park.
