UAE wishes an end to sanctions on Iran

Shaikh-Khalifa-Bin-Zayed-Al-NahyanThe UAE wishes to get sanctions on Iran to finish if it abides with and helps the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) with its nuclear program.

The statement was announced by his Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday along with the finish of the thirty-first summit of the cooperation council of Arab states in Abu Dhabi.

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed who is also the UAE foreign minister spoke to a press conference following the finish of the summit, saying that they wish that the Security Council would cease their sanctions on Iran, and that Iran needs to cooperate with them. He added that they hoped that all the parties would maintain goodwill putting an end to this conflict.

Shaikh Abdullah expressed sheer delight on the P5+1 meetings occurring in Geneva after almost a year of standstill between Iran and the group.

He further said that it was a step towards progress and that they are asking the Iranians to resolve their issues of mistrust, if any, in a transparent and professional manner.

The USA has frequently been accused by Iran of creating division and discord in the area.
