The Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) recently declared about itself becoming the chief endorser for the upcoming World Summit Award-Mobile (WSA).
The event is taking place under the organisation of the Abu Dhabi Government and in association with the United Nations and its Global Alliance for ICT and Development and Government. Besides, business partners from all over the world are also being cooperated with.
The World Summit Award Mobile is a global initiative for choosing and promoting the top mobile contents and innovative applications on earth. Also, being associated with the United Nations' World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), it has based itself on the expertise and network of the World Summit Awards and its strategy is to be held once in every couple of years. The national pre-selections are done in every one of the 160 participating countries.
The TRA Director General, H. E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim said that the World Summit Award Mobile was a global initiative for choosing and advertising the earth's best in mobile content and other new and innovative applications.
He further said that TRA was all the time enthusiastic about participating in the ICT events, particularly the ones which aim at a broad segment of the audience.
