The NBA JamFest at Abu Dhabi was an instant success among its fans cheering for their favorite teams in the final events of the men's, women's and university 3-on-3 basketball tournaments.

The emerging winners in the final were `Old School' men, `Adix Stargate' women and University of Wollengong Dubai.

Almost 13,000 basketball fans and families came to see the festival which ran for 3 days at the FLASH Forum on Yas Island, meet the NBA legend Hakeem `The Dream' Olajuwon, play the game of basketball, practice tricks and participate in games and dance workshops.

During the playing of the final matches, John Lickrish, the Managing Director of FLASH Entertainment, said that the Yas Island Show Weekends have brought something new to Abu Dhabi and particularly the region week after another.

This weekend especially brought unique things with the NBA Jamfest and the presence of the legend Hakeem Olajuwan. It was astounding to have thousands of fans and players of all ages and skill levels out there, enjoying the game of basketball and participating in free family activities throughout the weekend.

The event included many unique things, a performance by the New York Knicks City Dancers among others.
