On Friday the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held that on the institution of a safe and secure nuclear programme in the country they are running in competition to the United Arab Emirates.

Yukiya Amano IAEA Director General informed to WAM that for this channel there are a number of technical cooperation agenda. There will be an assistance of the IAEA to the UAE for the growth of the national nuclear energy infrastructure. It will be for creating power.

He alleged that a strategic e-learning portal is to be built with the support of the UAE and IAEA for the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), in view of the vital role nuclear culture and training play. This will be done to increase the country's nuclear programme.

Amano also supposed that a monetary hold up of $10 million is guaranteed by the UAE. It is for the project IAEA-administered international low-enriched uranium fuel bank.

Amano exposed that there is a preparation to throw a mission to the UAE in 2011 by the IAEA.
