Dubai's Cassation court orders retrial in the murder caseThe highest court in Dubai has recently ordered a retrial in the case of five Emirati teenagers. It is to be mentioned here that the teenagers were convicted of fatally stabbing their compatriot teenager in Al Rashidiya and the court has canceled the appeal on Monday and has ordered a new panel of appeal judges to hold a fresh trial in the case.

It may be noted here that the appeal court had earlier decided to sentence one of the defendants i. e. 16-year-old H. M. to ten years in jail soon after he was convicted of premeditatedly killing the teenager, Ali Mohammad Hassan.

In fact, the 17-year-old Emirati student, A. M. was also sentenced to five years in jail for his involvement in the premeditated murder.

The incident has caught a lot of media and public attention in the past wherein the three Emirati students, aged between 14 and 15, were ordered to be placed in a special juvenile reformation and rehabilitation centre. However, it is expected that the retrial in this case will see a lot of new chapters being unfolded now as the court will now start again for a trials against the defendants.
