Abu Dhabi to make deal of $19 mn On Monday a 70 million dirham's (about $19 million) will be given by Abu Dhabi to Mali. This amount will be used for constructing a dam and a 25 MW power generating unit.

In mali a contract had been signed between Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi who is the Acting director general of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and Lassina Bouare Mali's minister in charge of budget for funding the Taoussa Dam project.

Al Suwaidi alleged that this project contains the production of the dam and a 130-km road most important to it, in it.

It is planned that a hydro-electric power plant will be constructing at the site. This power plant will produce 25 MW of electricity.

By help of this project 130 hectares agricultural of land will be irrigated.

Moreover it contains a building of 220 km of power transmission lines.

It is also included in the project that there will be growth of agriculture water to the area of 139,000 hectares. Standards are to be set.
