Abu Dhabi authorities arrested and are holding Nevada National Guardsman as prisoner on the charges of transporting firearm accessories. It was reported by the Las Vegas Review journal that as 23 year old Nicolas Moody was leaving the capital of the United Arab Emirates on Veterans Day he was arrested by the Airport officials who retrieved the firearm accessories which were stowed in his luggage.

Before working as an armed guard for a private contractor in Iraq, Nicolas Moody has served in Afghanistan for Nevada National Guard. When he was arrested at the Abu Dhabi Airport, he was returning to his home.

When the journal contacted Lorina Moody of Susanville, Calif who is his mother, she commented that due to the laws which varied in different nations, her son didn't knew that he was breaking the laws and he had committed the crime.

She further said that the fire arm accessories which were found in his luggage were the requirement for his work. Moody had denied that the accessories which were found in his luggage were weapons and said that they were related in his job as security guard.
