UAE and Saudi Arabia have decided to make investment to purchase farmland in foreign countries.

These two nations face shortage cultivated products to supply food and water to their citizens. Therefore, higher authorities of these two Middle East countries have chalked out plans and programs to buy farmland for arranging food and drinks.

Fahad Balghunaim has stated that the government has already served notices to other privately owned companies to invest money in the production of agricultural products. The $800 million worth project will be launched soon to buy farmland abroad to meet the basic requirements of people. Throughout the world, these two ME countries will spread their dominance over the world by purchasing farmland for the cultivation.

A spokesperson of government has clarified that the UAE government has urged companies to invest money to encourage the farmland which is located within the country.

UAE will hand over land to foreign countries on lease for doing extensive research to enhance adequate production of fruits, whole grains and vegetables. Jacques Diouf who is the director of general of FAO has said that soon government will declare fixed guidelines to distribute farmland on lease. The country will be in win-win position.
